Active Ingredients:

  • fexofenadine

Action mechanism and therapeutic effect of the medication:
Allegra is an antiallergic drugs which belongs to a group of medicines called H1-histamine receptors blockers. Allegra eliminates allergy symptoms: sneezing, rhinorrhea, itching, eyes redness, and lacrimation.

Medical indications:

  • Allergic rhinitis (vasomotor, seasonal)
  • Pollen fever
  • Angioedema, urticaria

Allegra contraindications, precautions and warnings:

  • Hypersensitivity
  • Pediatric patients (0-12 years old)
  • With caution: pregnancy, breastfeeding

Allegra side effects: As with any other drug, side effects can occur with fexofenadine hydrochloride. However, it does not mean that everyone who takes the medicine will experience these adverse effects. In most cases the preparation is well tolerated. Fexofenadine hydrochloride may cause the following side effects:

  • central nervous system: headache, dizziness, drowsiness, insomnia
  • gastrointestinal tract: nausea, indigestion, constipation
  • respiratory system: rhinorrhea, viral upper respiratory tract infection, sore throat, chest pain
