Action mechanism and therapeutic effect of the medication:
Xenical works by inhibiting the gastrointestinal lipase. Xenical should be used with a low-calorie diet and weight maintenance to treat obesity and excessive weight in people with certain risk factors.

Medical indications:

Long-term therapy of obese patients or patients with overweight, including those associated with obesity risk factors, in combination with a moderately hypocaloric diet
In combination with hypoglycemic drugs or moderately reduced calorie diet in patients with diabetes type 2 with overweight or obesity

Xenical contraindications, precautions and warnings:

Xenical side effects:
As with any other drug, side effects can occur with orlistat . However, it does not mean that everyone who takes the medicine will experience these adverse effects. In most cases the preparation is well tolerated . Orlistat may cause the following side effects:

oily rectal excrements, flatus, defecation urgency, steatorrhea, increased frequency of defecation and rectal incontinence
