The preparation exerts analgesic and anticonvulsive effects. The drug works by preventing the epileptic episodes.

Medical indications: The preparation is intended for treatment of partial epileptic seizure with or without secondary generalization in adults and children after the age of 12. The drug may also be prescribed in treatment of post-herpetic neurology.
